Happy Memorial Day to everyone! Today was a very interesting day! My mom and Aunt Carol washed their cars in the driveway so I got to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather! There has been a haze over New Hampshire and Massachusetts since yesterday! We have been informed that it is from the fires in Canada that were pretty significant. Nonetheless the weather was still beautiful. I even got a little burnt! While they were washing the cars Aunt Carol noticed a small dog wandering through the backyards of her neighbors. It was obvious she had gotten out and was lost. It took a little while but I finally got close enough to the dog to pick her up! She was very sweet but scared. We put her on a leash outside while we tried to figure out who she belonged to. One of the neighbors knew where she lived but no one was home. After awhile we ended up borrowing a small crate and I sat with her on her front porch and waited for someone to come home. About 10 minutes later the owner drove up! She was shocked that the dog had gotten out but was extremely grateful that we had found her and brought her home! So we rescued a dog today!
For dinner we drove to see family! It's always a lot of fun when we visit them! We ate dinner and talked outside for awhile! Then we watched the Lacrosse National Championship game of Notre Dame vs Duke! For those of you who are interested, Duke won in overtime.
We left after dessert and my mom and I drove to the hotel that is right next to the hospital. My surgery is scheduled for very early so we figured it would be easier to be close!
Tomorrow is the BIG day! I am not nervous as I really don't have any reason to be. I have a fantastic surgeon and will be at a great hospital for a week! I have been through surgery before and I am just ready to living without hip pain!
I don't know if I will be able to update tomorrow as I will most likely be completely out of it and will sleep a lot! The blogs to come will be more interesting than my daily activities for the past several weeks!
Thanks to all my Hip Chicks for all of your encouragement and support!
Thinking of you today! I can't wait to hear about how everything went. Take it easy and try to get all the rest you can.
